Make Your Training Social

Here's an interesting article as to why education needs to become more social.  Though the author posits over the use of social within online, higher education courses, the same arguments could be made for corporate learning as well.

"The web, as a real-time medium, is begging us to build innovative courses that can be used for the rapid delivery of education designed in a way that integrates current news, information, insights and research about topics..."

With current Social Business Solutions (SBS) on the market, companies now have the ability to create their own social environments, without exposing them to the greater Internet, and can easily begin to make social training, communications and other information.  Companies should, however, use the Internet to better understand their brand, listen to the conversations that are going on about their products and leverage that type of "real time" information to ensure their workers are responding in an appropriate manner.  That could best be accomplished by bringing that information back in house to one's private SBS and create further dialog and training around specific issues.

Check out the article and tell me what you think.
